We will begin an international collaboration between Arvika Konsthall and the Swedish American Museum in Chicago, USA.
The exhibition will be based on the letters that Johanna Ericksson sent to her son, Emil Olsson, who emigrated to the United States in the early 20th century. The letters tell of difficult hardships, where poverty and hunger are a big part of everyday life, but also of universal thoughts about grief, love and the loss of a loved one you will never see again. Fates of life that all societies have gone through during different periods.
